Business Development Manager
Our client is looking for an assertive, intelligent, adaptable Business Development Manager for Florida who has a good
knowledge of the Caribbean market!   You’ll utilize your strong closing skills and your network of contacts with contractors,
end users and specifiers as you call on, service and support maintenance and/or general or paving contractors in the
Florida and the Caribbean.  You’ll also call on hospitalities, schools, other large end users and landscape architects &
engineers.   Our ideal candidate should have a track record in sales and business development with construction
equipment and/or services (such as building automation systems, relays, lighting controls/dimmers, PLCs, switchgear,
lighting services, dimmable ballasts, HVAC, power supplies, and/or motor controls).  You should currently live in Miami,

Manager -- R&D Programs
Manages existing R&D programs with responsibility for operational, schedule, and financial performance.  Ensures
program milestones are established and achieved.  Works with Senior Management and the Steering Committee, where
applicable, to set the direction for the programs.  Acts as the primary customer interface for all program communication,
status, issues and support.  Acts as primary interface for key suppliers/vendors providing subcontract support to the
programs.  Assists sales and marketing with development of potential new contracts. Insures that the company remains
compliant with all Government contract clauses in both R&D contracts and Government production orders.

Interfaces with all management and contracting agencies.  Writes proposals and prepares budgets to win new R&D
contracts.  Advances the company's technical reputation through customer interface, presentation of papers, trade shows,
and interacting with peers and technical associates.  Enforces export control regulations and maintains security clearance.  
Promotes company and personal safety requirements.

Requirements:
BS degree, in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics or Chemistry
10 years experience in a combination of industry, and research and development, in laser and/or materials related fields.  
Includes a minimum of 5 years experience in program management acting as primary contact with full schedule and
financial responsibility.  Demonstrated ability for leadership, coordinating technology development, negotiating technology
transfer, business development, creation of and/or leadership of inter-company teams, assistance with product sales and
service.  Advance skills using Microsoft Projects.  Strong knowledge of FARs, DFARs and ITAR.  Prior exposure to the
optics and crystal manufacturing industry strongly preferred.

Applications Engineer/Product Specialist - LightPath Technologies, Orlando, FL
This individual will act as the main technical contact for customers and field sales team for LightPath products including
molded aspheric lenses, fiber collimators, and Gradium lenses.  The Applications Engineer will have duties that include:
  • Visiting customer sites with Sales team and attend Trade Shows and exhibitions as the technical contact for
    customers discussions
  • Reviewing Technical Documentation and drawings for RFQs

Imaging Scientist (PhD): Candidates will have a combination of both academic and industrial research experience.
Although a background in the life sciences, biomedical imaging or agricultural engineering is a plus, it is not required.
However, other areas of experience should include:
  • Optics assemblies and design, precision automation mechanisms, robotic systems
  • Core image analysis routines, chemometrics, multispectral analysis, hyperspectral imaging analysis, Principal
    Component Analysis
  • Software proficiency in multivariate analysis packages such as Unscrambler and SIMCA-P+
  • Proficiency in programming and simulation using Matlab.

Imaging Engineer (MS): Candidates will possess both engineering and production experience. Preference will be given
to candidates who have a comprehensive overview of the entire system and who understand how to reliably integrate high-
volume machine vision production validation with high-volume automation.  Other areas of experience should include:

Engineering Director
Established northeast company is looking for an Engineering Director for key leadership team over Florida optical
components subsidiary.  The director will plan and manage the engineering and design functions as well as direct all
responsibilities involving new technology, production engineering, production process &applications development, quote
support, troubleshooting, and documentation to meet customer requirements and expand and improve the Company’s
products and services. Key responsibilities include management of the Engineering  personnel including optics,
manufacturing, design engineers and CNC programmer and toolmakers. The Director will coordinate engineering efforts
and communication with Sales/Marketing, Manufacturing Operations, Product R&D and Quality. Director will plan and
manage, directly or through staff all engineering projects.

Requirements This position requires at least 10 years of engineering experience in optical component, design &
manufacturing in a custom job shop manufacturing environment.  3+ years experience as an engineering manager or
senior project manager in an optical manufacturing environment. Must have a successful track record in optical
component industry with solid theoretical understanding of optical engineering skills in a manufacturing environment. Must
possess strong management, project management, planning, communication, presentation and documentation skills.
Must have minimum BS degree in Optics, Physics, or related field. Must be able to travel 25% of the time.
